11-30-2008 – Crown Center Fountians
Some kids play in the fountains outside of Crown Center. Some of my earliest memories of the city are when my grandmother drove us down to Crown Center in her Lincoln to play in the water. Afterwards, we had to lay in the sun for 30 minutes to dry off because the car was too nice for our wet butts.
The way my grandma talked of Crown Center, I though it was like the Emerald City in Kansas City. Now that I’ve been here for seven years as an adult & live three blocks away, I realize it’s just a mall where you can build your own bears. Ignorance was bliss.
